Pens-for-Paws is a fundraiser for Healing HEART Sanctuary in Kanab, UT. HHS is a non-profit animal sanctuary for injured and/or disabled rescue animals of all kinds. We have worked with dogs, cats, horses, cows, goats, ducks, turtles, tortoises, geckos, and bunnies. Many of our animal residents are “Ambassadors of Hope and Change” in our community and around the world, helping people to understand that being different does not mean being any less of value while serving as a visual reminder that there can be joy again after tragedy.

Here’s how Pens-for-Paws works. We ask celebrities to design and then make (lathe) custom writing pens that we auction off on eBay. They get to keep one of their creations for themselves; the other pens are either auctioned individually or as a grouping with the pens of other celebrities. The making of the pens is captured on video to show that the celebrity really did make the pen by hand (and, well, machine) and some of the best video clips will be released prior to and during the auctions from our accounts at Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter & Twitter.
